Sculpture Workshop on the French Riviera

Spend a morning, a day or a week in a real sculptor's atelier in Vallauris — the historic ceramic town between Cannes and Antibes — modelling clay under the guidance of artist Karine Garzi.

An atelier, not a classroom

The workshop takes place inside Karine Garzi's working studio in Vallauris. You model from observation — a figure, a face, an animal — with the same tools and the same Provençal terracotta clay she uses for her own exhibited work.

Groups stay intentionally small (typically four to six people) so each participant gets direct, personal guidance, regardless of experience.

Who it's for

Complete beginners, returning amateurs, and travellers on the Côte d'Azur looking for a meaningful, hands-on cultural experience. No prior modelling skill is required — only curiosity and the willingness to get clay on your hands.

Location & access

The atelier is in Vallauris, ten minutes from Antibes, twenty minutes from Cannes, and forty minutes from Nice airport. It pairs naturally with a day at the Picasso Museum, the Madoura pottery, or the beaches of Juan-les-Pins.

Formats

Half-day discovery sessions, full-day intensives, and multi-day thematic stages run throughout the year. Private bookings are available for couples, families and small groups of friends.
