A Creative Holiday in the South of France

Beyond beaches and rosé, the South of France has been a working ground for artists for more than a century. A creative holiday here can include actual making — not just looking.

Clay days in Vallauris

Karine Garzi's atelier offers half-day and full-day clay modelling for visitors. You leave with a piece you made yourself — fired and shipped, or collected on a later visit.

Pair it with the region

Mornings in the atelier pair well with afternoons in Antibes, Cannes, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the Maeght Foundation, or the perfumeries of Grasse. Many guests build a week of art, food and slow coastal exploration around two or three sessions in the studio.

For couples, friends, families

Sessions are private or in small mixed groups, suitable for adults and motivated teenagers. No prior experience required.

Frequently asked questions

What's the shortest sculpture experience available?
A half-day initiation in the atelier — enough to model a small piece from clay, with all materials and guidance included.
Can children join, or is it adults only?
Sessions are designed for adults and motivated teenagers (roughly 14+). Family arrangements are possible — please ask the atelier.
Will my piece be fired so I can take it home?
Yes. Firing is offered as a supplement; pieces can be shipped to you after firing or collected on a return visit.
